I am a member of several online communities that I both use and support. Some of these online communities are simply for entertainment but some of them are professional networks that I happen to use quite frequently as a resources.
I am a member of a couple online gaming communities, and before you knock online gaming you should know that I have met many people that I now work with in a professional capacity.
Torn City — Playing October 22nd, 2009 to Present
This online game is a Browser Based MMORPG where the central premise is that you advance through committing illegal acts such as theft, fraud, etc. You have
the ability to trade with other players, join "Factions" with other players and work towards both group based and solo advancement. If you wish to

OGame — Played March, 2007 to May, 2010
I played this online game with my co-workers while I worked at LocalNet. The game is a Browser Based MMORPG where you build space ships and an economic infrastructure
which you use to attack and defend against other players. I played as a part of Universe 24 and 28, although I abandoned my account in 28 a couple months after I started
playing. In Uni24 I have a rather unique honor of never having had my fleet destroyed, while still managing to successfully attack some of the highest ranked players on
the server. I left the game due to the redesign of the web-interface. I found that it was much to bulky and cumbersome and it had dozens of javascript errors that made
the game nearly unplayable.

This is one of the forums that I use when I need to bounce some ideas off of other like minded computer geeks. You can do pretty much anything on the forum. I have had
friends sell everything from cars to magic cards there, or advertise their particular product or service.
